🔥🤤 This one is Skillet Garlic Butter Chicken Legs — crispy, golden chicken cooked in a rich buttery sauce. Super juicy and simple, just like in the photo.
🍗 Garlic Butter Skillet Chicken Legs
Ingredients
- 5–6 chicken legs (drumsticks or leg quarters)
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp dried thyme or oregano
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1️⃣ Season the Chicken
Pat chicken dry. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and herbs.
2️⃣ Sear Until Golden
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add chicken skin-side down and sear 5–6 minutes until deeply golden.
Flip and cook another 4–5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Sauce
Lower heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet.
Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and scrape the pan to release all the flavor.
4️⃣ Simmer
Return chicken to the skillet.
Cover and simmer on low heat for 25–30 minutes, until fully cooked and tender.
5️⃣ Finish
Add lemon juice if using.
Spoon sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with parsley.
🔥 Tips
- Don’t rush the browning — that’s the flavor
- Cast iron skillet works best
- Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread
