🧈 Flaky Butter Milk Bread (Layered & Soft)
Ingredients:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp oil
- 150 g soft butter (for layering)
- 1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk (for brushing)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes.
- Add egg, oil, salt, and flour. Knead until soft and smooth.
- Cover and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
- Divide dough into 6 balls. Roll each thin and spread with butter.
- Stack the layers, roll gently, then place in a lined baking tray.
- Cut into squares, cover, and rest 20 minutes.
- Brush with egg yolk and milk.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes until golden.
Result:
Golden on the outside, super soft and flaky inside 😍
