🧈 Flaky Butter Milk Bread (Layered & Soft)

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 150 g soft butter (for layering)
  • 1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk (for brushing)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes.
  2. Add egg, oil, salt, and flour. Knead until soft and smooth.
  3. Cover and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
  4. Divide dough into 6 balls. Roll each thin and spread with butter.
  5. Stack the layers, roll gently, then place in a lined baking tray.
  6. Cut into squares, cover, and rest 20 minutes.
  7. Brush with egg yolk and milk.
  8. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes until golden.

Result:
Golden on the outside, super soft and flaky inside 😍
