๐ฅ๐ง Creamy Sausage & Potato Bake
Ingredients:
- 1 kg potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 400 g sausages (beef or chicken), sliced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup cooking cream (or heavy cream)
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or mix)
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp dried oregano or thyme
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Heat olive oil in a pan and lightly brown the sausage slices. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sautรฉ onion until soft, then add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- In a bowl, mix cream, milk, salt, pepper, paprika, and herbs.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, then half of the sausages and some cheese.
- Repeat layers and pour the cream mixture over everything.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove foil, add remaining cheese on top, and bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
