Garlic Butter Shrimp Recipe

Garlic butter shrimp is one of the easiest and most delicious seafood dishes you can make. The shrimp are cooked quickly in a rich, flavorful sauce made with butter, garlic, and simple seasonings. The result is juicy, tender shrimp with a golden sear and an irresistible aroma. This dish is perfect as a main course with rice, pasta, or bread, or even as a quick appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 500 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Shrimp

  • Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Step 2: Cook the Shrimp

  • Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add shrimp in a single layer.
  • Cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and golden.

Step 3: Add Garlic Butter

  • Add garlic and remaining butter.
  • Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add lemon juice and mix well.

Step 4: Serve

  • Sprinkle parsley on top.
  • Serve immediately with rice, pasta, or bread.

Tips

  • Do not overcook shrimp or they become rubbery.
  • Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • Add chili flakes if you like spicy shrimp.
