- 2–2½ lb chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on for best flavor)
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1½ tbsp lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp paprika (optional)
- 1 tsp salt (adjust—lemon pepper can be salty)
- Zest of 1 lemon (optional, extra fresh pop)
- 1–2 tbsp lemon juice
- Fresh parsley or thyme (optional, for garnish)

Oven – Best for Crispy Skin
1️⃣ Prep: Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Pat chicken very dry.
2️⃣ Season: Toss thighs with oil/butter, lemon pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
3️⃣ Bake: Arrange skin-side up on a lined baking sheet or dish. Bake 35–40 minutes until internal temp reaches 175–185°F.
4️⃣ Crisp (optional): Broil 2–4 minutes until golden and crispy.
5️⃣ Finish: Rest 5 minutes; sprinkle with herbs.
Air Fryer
- Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 18–22 minutes, flip halfway.
- Optional: crisp skin-side up at the end.
Skillet
- Sear skin-side down in a hot skillet 6–8 minutes until crisp.
- Flip, cover, and cook 10–12 minutes until done.
