Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken Bites with Alfredo Pasta
Ingredients
Chicken
- 1½ lb (700 g) chicken breast, cut into large bite-size pieces
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional but recommended)
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Pasta
- 12 oz (340 g) fettuccine or spaghetti
- Salt for boiling water
Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Cook the Chicken
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken pieces and sear for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
3️⃣ Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the pan.
- Add heavy cream, Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese.
- Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
4️⃣ Combine
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it.
- Let simmer for 2–3 minutes until chicken is coated and juicy.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
5️⃣ Serve
- Toss pasta with a little sauce or pasta water if needed.
- Serve creamy pasta alongside the garlic butter chicken.
- Spoon extra sauce on top and garnish with parsley and Parmesan.
Tips
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice at the end 🍋
- You can use chicken thighs for even juicier results
- Serve with garlic bread or a fresh salad
