- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme (or Italian seasoning)
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
- ¾ cup cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream (adjust to desired creaminess)

- Chopped parsley or chives

1️⃣ SAUTÉ THE VEGGIES
In a pot, melt butter over medium heat.
Add onion, garlic, carrots, and celery.

2️⃣ SEASON & SIMMER
Add salt, black pepper, and thyme.
Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil.
3️⃣ ADD CHICKEN & RICE

4️⃣ MAKE IT CREAMY
Add milk and heavy cream.
