๐Ÿœ Chicken Chow Mein with the BEST Chow Mein Sauce

๐Ÿงพ Ingredients:

For the Chow Mein:

  • 8 oz (225g) chow mein noodles ๐Ÿœ
  • 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned ๐Ÿฅ•
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped

For the BEST Chow Mein Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ Instructions:

  1. Cook chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients until smooth.
  3. Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add chicken and stir-fry until cooked through and lightly golden.
  5. Add cabbage and carrots; cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
  6. Add cooked noodles and pour in the sauce.
  7. Toss everything together and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the noodles.
  8. Garnish with green onions and serve hot ๐Ÿ˜

Tips:

  • Add bell peppers or bean sprouts for extra crunch.
  • Use shrimp or beef instead of chicken if desired.
