  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 lb smoked sausage (or kielbasa), sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the diced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Spread the potatoes evenly in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Add the Sausage & Onion

  1. Distribute the sliced sausage and onion over the potatoes.
  2. Drizzle with melted butter for extra flavor.

Step 3: Bake

  1. Cover with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes, until potatoes are tender.

Step 4: Add Cheese & Finish Baking

  1. Remove from the oven and pour the heavy cream or milk over the casserole.
  2. Sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
  3. Return to the oven uncovered and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
