Ingredients
16 slices sandwich bread
8–12 slices cheese (cheddar, American, mozzarella, or mix)
4–6 tbsp butter, softened (or mayo for extra crisp)
Optional add-ins:
garlic powder
sliced turkey or beef
caramelized onions
Instructions
Prep the bread
Spread butter (or mayo) on one side of each bread slice.
Assemble sandwiches
Place cheese between two slices, buttered sides facing out.
Air fry – batch style
Line air fryer basket with parchment paper.
Place 4 sandwiches at a time (do not overlap).
Cook
Air fry at 180°C (360°F) for 5–6 minutes
Flip carefully
Cook another 4–5 minutes until golden and melted.
Repeat
Continue until all sandwiches are cooked.
💡 Tips for best results
Press sandwiches lightly before cooking → melts better
Mix cheeses for ultra-gooey centers
Keep finished sandwiches warm in the oven at 90°C (200°F) if serving many people
