๐Ÿซ German Chocolate Cake

๐Ÿง Cake Ingredients (2 or 3 layers)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot water or hot coffee

๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿณ Cake Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour cake pans.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
  4. Stir in hot water/coffee (batter will be thin).
  5. Pour into pans and bake 30–35 minutes.
  6. Let cool completely.

  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1½ cups shredded coconut

  1. Cook milk, sugar, egg yolks, and butter over medium heat.
  2. Stir constantly until thick (about 10–12 min).
  3. Remove from heat, add vanilla, coconut, and pecans.
