Ingredients
- 1 kg (about 2 lb) potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
- 3–4 tbsp butter
- ½ to ¾ cup warm milk (or cream for extra richness)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- Optional: garlic powder or a clove of boiled garlic
Instructions
- Peel & cut the potatoes into equal chunks.
- Boil in salted water for 15–20 minutes, until very tender.
