Golden Cheese & Bacon Puff Pastries

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional, for extra flavor)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano or thyme (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat & Prepare the Pastry

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.

2. Add the Fillings

  • Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard over the pastry (if using).
  • Sprinkle cheese evenly over one half of the pastry.
  • Add the crumbled bacon and season with black pepper, garlic powder, and herbs.

3. Fold & Cut

  • Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and press gently.
